As part of the China-Russia Years of Culture in 2024-25, a Russian film festival has been launched in China, meant to run from August 5 to 11. The festival aims to reintroduce Russian cinema to the world and let movie fans from all continents enjoy various Russian feature films. The China Film Administration and the Russian Culture Ministry are jointly hosting the event. The Russian delegation will visit the three cities with seven Russian masterpieces, including Where the White Cranes Dance, Lord of The Wind, Guest from the Future, My Sweet Monster, and Detective Chirp & The Golden Beehive.
These seven films are diverse in genre and rich in subject matter, fully demonstrating the fruitful achievements of the Russian film industry in recent years.
